Giant Foods based out of Central Pennsylvania purchased the Feasterville Genuardi’s along with another Genuardi’s in Warrington.
Giant plans to close the Bustleton Pike and Warrington stores on November 13 at 6 p.m. and plans to re-open the updated stores in the first quarter of 2011.

Genuardi’s, which has closed five local stores recently, has its regional headquarters in East Norriton, PA and is owned by Safeway INC.

Sad to see a once local, family-owned and operated market lose out to a national chain. Genuuardi's Feasterville will be missed.
ReplyDeleteIt's not family owned anyway so who cares. Giant isn't even that big. Lets not play the "big corporation" killed the little guy game. Genuardi's sold out LOONG ago and hasn't been the same since.
