A BuxMontNews.com reader who knew someone in the bank at the time commented, "He demanded tellers to give to him and to hurry! Then he jumped counter to go out back door."
Phillyburbs.com reports an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the bank.
The suspect is a tall black male in his 20’s or 30’s who was wearing a red baseball cap with a logo, a dark coat and a pair of white gloves.
Authorities tell the website man behind the afternoon robbery is considered, “Armed and Dangerous.”

ReplyDeleteAccording to thereporteronline.com:
"At approximately 1:51 a.m., a man entered the bank and brandished a silver semi-automatic pistol. He vaulted over the teller counter, and emptied the contents of the cash drawers into a plastic grocery bag that he had carried in. He then ran through the bank, and fled out the back door into the parking lot."
According to media reports the man jumped the counter after pulling a gun, emptied the contents into plastic bags he brought with him and ran out the back door.
I have placed a call to the Philly FBI office and will try to clarify what exactly happened and if any security video of the suspect was captured.
Sorry. That this bothers me that it was incorrect. It is just that someone VERY close to me was there. I guess someone messed it up at thereporteronline to begin with. Just needed to say make a note somewhere that it was incorrect.
ReplyDeleteJust makes me feel better that something so tragic be noted correctly. Anonymous.
