By this time tomorrow forecasters are expecting heavy rain and winds gusting up to 40 mph to hit the mid-Atlantic as a Tropical Depression 16 hits the area.
The National Weather Service office in Mt. Holly, N.J. announced a flood watch for much of the East Coast they are also expecting one to four inches of rain over the next 48 hours.
Forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) expects rain to begin in the region around 2 p.m. this afternoon and continuing into late Thursday night.
The National Weather Service reports that this forthcoming rain maker could produce flooding in small creeks and streams.
