While the storm entered slower than forecasters thought the rain is finally in here and forecasters say it will be with us until mid-day tomorrow.
Bucks and Montgomery Counties are under a Flood Watch and a High Wind Advisory. It is predicted that we could now get up to 4 inches of rain and sustained winds of up to 35 mph.
The storm will be in two parts, this morning’s rains and this afternoons flooding rains and damaging winds. Radar shows bands of moisture from the storm reaching from Maine to Cuba.
Forecasters are warning of the possibilities of tornados and hail which could batter the Philadelphia region as the worst part of the storm is expected to hit late this afternoon.
This much needed rain will most likely push the area out of a drought that had plagued the area in recent weeks.
PECO is also preparing of the threat of power outages with reports of storm related power outages already in Delaware County.
