A former Lower Moreland School District assistant principal, Charles D. Hurst, 47, was charged in court this week after it came to light he was having improper communications with young male students
Hurst is facing counts of endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of a minor and possession of a controlled substance.
Two boys have come forward to investigators who alleged Hurst gave the boys money and gifts in exchange for the boys having sexually explicit conversations with the former Lower Moreland and North Penn School District employee.
Officials now suspect Hurst had some of these discussions with a male student in his office at North Penn
Hurst allegedly talked to the boys who were 13-years-old approximately twice a day either in school or via text messages.
One of the boys told investigators that masturbating would help him grow and become smarter.
When Montgomery Township police arrested Hurst they found cocaine in his car along with a hand gun and ammunition, which he did not have a permit to carry.
Hurst mug shot gained international fame in September after numerous websites posted the photo and mockingly compared it to teenage pop star Justin Bieber’s haircut.
